Roses wither quickly, but candles burn awhile.
The candle we possess resides in our hearts. Our candles are not meant forever, but only for the time they were given.
We control the light;
Where does it go? Who does it show?
We can even turn off the light and be in the dark.
Our candle still exists waiting patiently to be re-ignited.
Unlike a rose a candle has a capability of producing light in a dark place.
It's not meant for beauty, but every candle is its own beautiful creation of light.
A man and woman each have their own candle, but together they create a new one.
They earnestly work, creating what to them is beautiful.
Others laugh at their creation, calling it hideous.
They tell the two to stop molding a mutual candle, but to rely on their own.
And the two get to this point.
Here we are, growing together, creating our Candle.
We are to produce better light together than we can apart.
We continue working at our candle and do not abandon because of something...
Something in our hearts just won't let us apart.
I want to continue to grow and learn to produce light with you, in a strong Way.
I Love You
This is a poem my husband, Jonathan, wrote to me when we were in high school. It holds a lot of memories, but at the same time it describes our present and future.
